What We're Streaming

We have never powered through movies, documentaries, and series the way we have in the last few months (thanks pandemic) - and if like us, you're panicking and beginning to run out of things to watch, worry not. We've consulted with the experts and the recommendations below are sure to keep you busy throughout the Winter.

Normal People

We're sure you've heard of this by now. More than 16.2 million people tuned in to watch the BBC adaptation of Sally Rooney’s Booker prize-nominated novel in its first week; 139,000 now follow an Instagram account dedicated solely to Connell’s chain. It's a heartbreaking depiction of a young couple's relationship that we can all relate to and we assure you that it won't take you longer than a week to watch it all and wish for a part 2!

Modern Love

Since we're on the topic of romance, Modern Love is bound to tug at your heartstrings. Starring Hollywood's biggest names like Anne Hathaway, Dev Patel, Tina Fey, and Julia Garner, Modern Love is a series of wholesome love stories based on The New York Times column of the same name, the story explores different types of love in all kinds of relationships, both traditional and unique.

After Life

Hilarious and heartbreaking all in one as it centres around love, grief, and the realities of adult life. Starring comedian Ricky Gervais, you know you're in for some dark humour at it's finest

Ozark

It's smart, it's dark and it's been compared to Breaking Bad...need we way more? A straighty one-eighty financial advisor dips into money laundering and uproots his oblivious family from a Chicago suburb to the Ozarks to run a money-laundering scheme for the Mexican drug cartel, what could possibly go wrong?!

The Last Dance

Whether you're a basketball fan or not, you know you grew up with Michael Jordan being an influence on your childhood / teenage years. The series confirms that Jordan really is the GOAT - but it also gives us a lens into the world of NBA that we haven't seen before

Money Heist

It's sort of Ocean's Eleven meets Killing Eve, but in Spanish and with no serial killers. This show is addictive and the kind of fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled entertainment that can numb half your brain while you watch it, yet keep you hooked devouring episode after episode.

Fleabag

If you don't love Fleabag, it's because you haven't watched it. Starring and written by British comedienne and all-round legend Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the show explores themes about relationships, depression, passion, family, and most of all, a guinea pig named Hilary. Also, there is a hot priest. We'll leave it there.

Dead To Me

A master-piece that will keep you guessing and one of our favourite on-screen friendships ever! A twisty, dark comedy that you'll be able to watch back to back. We all have a Judy to our Jen.
