What To Wear To ANY Wedding

Wedding season is fast approaching as we get to the most beautiful days of the year. For a lot of us, this means fretting about what to wear to an upcoming wedding! Never fear, we've done the hard yards for you, no matter how tricky the dress code, location or theme of said nuptials. We've searched high and low to lock in the do's and don'ts of wedding guest attire - these are our findings!

Don't Wear White!

You may be surprised, but a lot of people seem to forget this cardinal rule! It's pretty simple, you don't want to run the risk of upstaging the bride or not letting her be the star of her show. With so many other colours available, this should be an easy one to stick to.

Experiment With Colour

Weddings are fun and a celebration of LOVE! No one wants to mistake a wedding guest for someone attending a funeral! Bright colours look great in wedding photos and make it look like you've gone to an added effort with your outfit for the day. We love Emily Blunt's look for the Amal + George Clooney union, chic, yet fun!

Stay Away From Anything Too Short

As modern, fun and relaxed as the bride and groom may be, it's important to remember that a wedding is still a wedding and it pays to stay on the safe side! If you love to show some leg, a longer silhouette with a thigh-high split will help you achieve the chic yet sexy style

Shine Bright

If there ever was a time to bejewel yourself and dazzle those around you with your accessories, it is a wedding. Use the opportunity to style a more subtle silhouette with a statement necklace or earrings, or a statement dress with gentle sparkles.

Respect The Dress Code

As inconveniencing as it may seem, it is your loved one's big day and you want to be respectful of their wishes, so what they say goes. Research the dress code, because they can seem confusing sometimes and when in doubt, ask the maid-of-honour!

Try to Colour Coordinate

Have a little fun with your plus one and coordinate outfits. It'll make for an easy conversation starter and look great in photographs, too. Now we don't mean that you both have to look like 2 pieces of the same puzzle, a subtle detail will do!

The most important thing of all is to be comfortable on the day and to have fun with your outfit. We'd love to hear your tips if you have any to share, below!
