Summer Spritz and Glitz

It is no secret that the weather and events of January have us living in 'life is a party' mode. We are making up for lost time and making the most of being able to celebrate both occasions and life itself.

With tanned Summer skin calling for layers of warm tones dripping off your limbs, bare decolletages adorned with flowing necklaces and fingers with delicate stacking rings, and the Summer heat calling for a refreshing spritz in hand at all times. We wanted to share with you our 2 favourite go-to spritz recipes for the season. We promise they'll go down a treat.

 

Pink grapefruit gin spritz

YOU WILL NEED:

  • 2 tbs (40ml) gin
  • 2 tbs (40ml) Campari
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) prosecco
  • 200ml sparkling grapefruit soda
  • Grapefruit slices, to serve

METHOD:

Fill a spritz glass with crushed ice. Combine gin, Campari and prosecco in the glass. Top with soda and grapefruit to serve.

Mastiha honey and lemon spritz

YOU WILL NEED:

  • 2 tbs runny honey
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 400ml mastiha liqueur
  • 2 cups (500ml) soda water
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves, to garnish

METHOD:

  • Place honey and 1 tbs of boiling water into a heatproof jug and swirl to dissolve. Add lemon juice and mastiha and stir.
  • Add the mastiha mixture to a 3L-capacity jug half-filled with ice. Pour in soda water and garnish with basil leaves to serve.
