We’re in the middle of Winter, which means our sleeveless and skin-baring outfits have been packed away, and our knitwear, coats and boots are in high rotation. When it comes to styling your outfits in Winter, jewellery can often get pushed to one side as with the layers upon layers of scarves and coats, it can seem a little bit redundant to some. We are quite lucky in Australia that our Winters generally don’t call for thermals and overly chunky knits, so we’re here to show you how to make your demi-fine jewellery work with your winter wardrobe.

All about that neckline

While being warm and cosy is naturally the main focus, it is easy for your favourite pendant or chain to get caught up or even hidden away by the high neckline of your knits or skivvies. This is why in Winter, alternating between chokers and pendants on a longer chain is key. Lengthier pendants can be paired with a skivvy or thinner crew neck jumper for a paired back look that completes your outfit. The power of studs

 Never underestimate the power of a cute pair of stud earrings and their undisputed ability to brighten up any outfit (and also not get caught in scarves and knits.) Studs are so easy to wear and so easy to stack, you can play with different shapes and sizes and build a stack that suits your style. We are also massive fans of small hoops and their undeniably chic look.  

Make a statement

Now, when we say statement, we don’t mean that it necessarily has to be a bold piece. A fine and dainty piece of jewellery can also be a statement, the objective remains the same, the piece should contrast and complement the rest of your look.
